Are you a woman interested in knwoing more about Skilled Trades such as hair-styling, cooking, baking and more?
Attend our information sessions to learn more about these skilled trades, apprenticeship programs, trainings and job skills.
PARTICIPANTS WILL RECEIVE IMPORTANT RESOURCES, INFORMATION, EDUCATION AND EMPLOYMENT COACHING, AND LETTERS/CERTIFICATES OF ACHIEVEMENT FOR THEIR PORTFOLIOS.
The Skills for Trades Program is an educational project to provide information and resources about how to enter the skilled trades (Examples: electrical, plumbing, millwright, steam fitter etc.);
The program includes mentorship by people in the skilled trades, workshops, and education/employment coaching;
It is available for newcomers, refugees and immigrant youth including temporary international workers, privately sponsored individuals and those who have worked in the trades previously and need Canadian experience;
The program does not launch participants into the trades upon completion of the program, rather it connects them to educational opportunities and creates a plan for success;
The Learning Networks of Ontario - Online Clear Writing course starts March 20th. This is a 12 week course (no live sessions). Register by March 16th!
Computer Basics is taught by the Hamilton Literacy Council, at Mission Services, Room 227.
