Growing the Potential of Life Sciences in Hamilton

Workforce Planning Hamilton has released a labour market profile of the life sciences cluster in Hamilton. The City of Hamilton defines life sciences (also commonly referred to as biosciences or biotechnology) as “the branches of science that involve living organisms and the use of scientific tools and techniques in research, development and manufacturing activities.”

This guide presents data from Statistics Canada, a literature review, and interviews with stakeholders in the life sciences industry.

The life sciences cluster is defined in this report and the future of the cluster is discussed.

Goodwill's NEW WorkBound Session Starts Tues, February 19th, 2013. Registering Participants Now

WorkBound is Funded by Service Canada

The next Goodwill WorkBound session is scheduled to start Tuesday, February 19th, 2013

Each session of the WorkBound program is 11 weeks in total. The program will run Monday to Friday with a combination of half and full days. There will be eight weeks of pre-employment workshops and work training days designed to help prepare participants to find and maintain employment. This will be followed by a volunteer/unpaid work placement for 3 weeks with job coaching if needed.
