Front-line workers who are planning on attending the Employment Assistance Resource Network (EARN) meeting are encouraged to read a draft of the Terms of Reference.

The first meeting of EARN (Employment Assistance Resource Network) takes place on Thursday, May 8th from 9 am. -11:30 am at Westmount Recreation Centre – Board Room, 39 Montcalm Drive, Hamilton, L9C 4B1.

EARN is a group of front line workers with a common goal to improve client and agency outcomes via exchanging information and resources, exploring employment and training trends and by engaging in professional development.

In late 2013 Workforce Planning Hamilton, with the support of the Skills Development Flagship invited front line workers from local employment services to join the EARN Advisory Committee. During regular meetings the committee drafted Terms of Reference, researched topics for future meetings, and discussed PD options.

Summer Job Fair: Mohawk College

Community Employment Services at Mohawk College is hosting a Summer Job Fair on Monday March 17 from 4-6pm at the Fennell Campus Room C066.

The job fair is being held for the Summer Job Service. The Summer Job Service helps youth find employment throughout the summer months. To be eligible for the Summer Jobs Service, students must be aged 15 to 30 and planning to return to school in the fall.
