In this workshop, you will learn the importance and benefit of having a professional social media presence to leverage your job search activities. Finance and Sustainability course is offered through the Bridging to Environmental Occupations program with YWCA Hamilton. In this course, students will learn to explain the cash flow identity and define components of net cash flows from assets within the context of sustainable business operations. Evaluate project profitability through the application of financial analysis. Assess the risk-return relationship of real asset investments through the understanding of the security market line (SML). Evaluate a firm’s dividend policy and its cost of capital to determine the firm’s optimal capital structure policy. Projects and case studies will be based on sustainable businesses in order to illustrate how finance concepts apply to sustainable practices.

This course is offered through YWCA Hamilton's bridging programs. In this course, students will build, analyze and test dynamic interactive web applications using client-and-server-side scripting languages and environments such as JavaScript, VBScript, PHP and Active Server Pages through extensive hands-on projects revolving around actual business practices. $196.41 (OBPAP Grant available)
