Keeping Your New Job:
Keeping your job is one of the most important steps in your job journey. The work has only just begun when you sign your offer letter and accept the position. Here are some tips for your success.
Set goals for yourself. This will show your employer that you understand the business goals and are ready to apply yourself.
Serve your customer. Every job position serves a customer. Some customers are internal and others are external. Excellence in customer service has its rewards!
Support your team or department. Each department has a strategic goal. Understand what it is and ensure your actions always support that goal.
Take responsibility for your actions. Remember, actions speak louder than words. If you want to be respected by your fellow employees take ownership of the mistakes that you make.
Open your mind and your understanding. You can learn from some of the most unlikely people or situations.
Manage your emotions. The workplace is a place of business. Your personal issues and emotional highs and lows should not impact your attitude or productivity.
Be open to feedback. Constructive feedback is a time to understand things from a different perspective. Don’t take it personally!
