Every Monday except holidays  (9:30 am to 11:00 am)

The group meets regularly to discuss job efforts, provide support, share job leads and improve job-seeking skills. Networking helps you master your job search skills and stay focused on your job search. Consistently those who participate in networking activities find jobs faster than those who do not participate.  No reservations needed.

Targeting your Resumes and Cover Letters

Have you sent your resume out to a lot of employers but have received no interviews?  We can assist you.  We will examine different styles of resumes and you will leave with a rough draft plus learning how to target your resume for various industries.

Once your resume is prepared and you’ve established which jobs you would like to apply for, a cover letter will increase your chances of being considered for an interview. Join us to learn how to develop a cover letter and alter it; to make you a prime candidate!

 

Kick Start your Job Search WORKSHOP
June 16th, 2015 (9:30 am to 3:00 pm)

Everything you wanted to know about getting a job but were too afraid to ask!!!    This workshop includes information on employer expectations and apprenticeships.  Can be taken together or independently.

Part 2 (PM)  Job Search Tactics:  Developing Your Skills; Accomplishment Statements; Winning Resumes; Cover Letters; E-Mails; Interviews; Employer Expectations; Apprenticeships

 

Interviews Skills WORKSHOP 
June 25th, 2015 (9:30 am to 1:00 pm)

Can’t seem to get beyond the interview to land the job?  We will explore various questioning styles as well as the importance of presentation.  Learn and practice the various styles of interviews and how to ace them. We will put your new skills to work for you!  In this interactive workshop, you will be role-playing interview situations.  So, please come prepared to participate.
